It was a hot day when CBS Sunday Morning came out to Atascadero to film Dr. Emily Fairfax in the beaver complex that she has been studying since 2020. It was a fun, memorable walk out to the ponds looking for a site suitable for a boatload of equipment, very little drinking water, and enough shade to last an interview in our classic Atascadero 110 degree heat.
